Mental Health

The Mental Health Department of South Shore Medical Center provides diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults. We provide ongoing consultation around mental health issues to SSMC's medical staff. Working directly with a patient's Primary Care Physician, we collaborate to promote the overall physical and psychological well-being of patients. The Mental Health Department offers short-term, goal-focused treatment to address mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, child behavioral and attention problems, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Treatment modalities include individual, couples and family therapy.
