Urgent Care

The Urgent Care Department provides same day appointments to our patients requiring immediate medical care. Our triage nurses determine that an urgent care appointment is appropriate. After a telephone review, there may be times when a medical problem can be treated at home with advice from the nurse or when an appointment with their Primary Care Physician is more appropriate. We offer full diagnostic services at the South Shore Medical Center, including the use of laboratory and x-ray to assist in the care of our patients.
