The physicians at South Shore Medical Center will no longer be making rounds in the Newborn Nursery at South Shore Hospital as of August 1, 2011.

Our practice’s newborns will be cared for by the Pediatricians on the South Shore Hospital Inpatient Pediatric Team. We have a strong collaborative relationship and have excellent communication with them. We know that our patients will receive excellent care.

The pediatrician who sees your baby on the day of discharge will give you specific guidance as to when you follow up with us in the office. Typically, we would like to see you 2 to 4 days after discharge. Please call us if you have questions.
