HPHC Honor Roll with Distinction

South Shore Medical Center has been named to the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Honor Roll with Distinction for 2012 for our exemplary performance on quality measures. Harvard Pilgrim reviewed performance in three domains of clinical care affecting both adult and pediatric patient: acute, chronic and preventive care. Physician groups were identified as Honor Roll practices based on paoitns earned for performance on 16 measures such as appropriate treatment for children with upper respiratory infection, comprehensive diabetes and breast cancer screenings.

As summer winds down it’s time to prepare for flu season. Every year in the United States, on average 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu. Replacement of CT Scanner
June 21, 2012
The new CT Scanner in our Weymouth Woods location is up and running. The 64 slice scanner is providing beautiful images with an approximate reduction in radiation dose of 30% to our patients (depending on the patient and the study being performed).

Friday, December 31, 2010 Service Delays
We apologize for any delay in service that you may have experienced on Friday, December 31st. This day was an observed holiday for SSMC which means only the Norwell offices were open with reduced staffing. We realize this caused a delay for some of our patients and we are sorry. We have made adjustments to our holiday schedules for 2011 to prevent this from happening in the future. Thank you for understanding and choosing your care at SSMC.
