Tufts Medicare Preferred and the SSPHO (South Shore Physician Hospital Organization)

Dear South Shore Medical Center Patient,

Recently newspapers reported a story concerning the termination of the contract between Tufts Medicare Preferred and the SSPHO (South Shore Physician Hospital Organization). 

This article has caused some confusion for our Tufts Medicare Preferred patients.

To clarify this matter:

THE SOUTH SHORE MEDICAL CENTER CONTINUES TO OFFER THE TUFTS MEDICARE PREFERRED PRODUCT.

The same Providers that served your health needs in the past will be available to continue that care for the upcoming year. We anticipate maintaining this Insurance Program into the future.

I hope this brief note clarifies any confusion that might have arisen because of the above mentioned newspaper article.
