Poison Ivy

This is the time of year that many of us sensitive to the plant oil, urushiol, can easily develop a skin reaction called allergic contact dermatitis. We commonly call this skin rash "poison ivy" but it could just as easily be related to contact with oak or sumac plants. The exact type of plant it comes from is of little concern to those that spend their nights itching and otherwise suffering from its affects. The attached article nicely summarizes all the important points about allergic contact dermatitis you need to know and a few pictures as well. I hope you find this helpful.
