Appointments
SSMC sees patients by appointment only, both for routine and urgent care visits. Please call and speak with the secretaries between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to book routine appointments, or speak with the nurse to schedule an urgent care appointment. You may also request an appointment through the MyHealth patient portal. Please provider 24-hour cancellation notice if you are unable to make your appointment. This will avoid being charged an administrative fee for a “no show.”
Please bring your insurance card with you and any co-payment that is required at every visit. Payment for services not covered by insurance is due at the time of the visit. Check with your insurance company for coverage information.
Pediatric Appointment Scheduling
For your convenience, we have extended the hours you can call to schedule your child’s next appointment. Please call our main number at 781-878-5200 Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. One of our pediatric secretaries will be happy to assist you.
NOTE: Your health plan may have special requirements regarding the use of hospital or specialized services. Please acquaint yourself with your plan before you need specialized or emergency care.
After Hours Coverage
After our offices close, we have Nurse Practitioners available to take your phone calls and provide clinical advice. They have the ability to leave messages for our nursing staff for early morning follow-up as well contacting our Adult and Pediatric On-Call physicians.
When appropriate, please call us before going to the hospital emergency room. The Nurse Practitioners have access to your electronic medical record so they have all the clinical information needed to provide quality telephonic care and it may save you time and money. Access us through our main number (781-878-5200) and use the prompt indicating that you want to speak to a physician.
